A couple of Challenges.....

Last weekend I started off trying to do the Purple Pumpkin Sketch challenge, but alas my little man got very sick so I didn't get to finish it off until this week. Here is my take on their current sketch.
Then I decided to have a go at the 123 Challenge. The criteria were to use the colour Fuscia, the Word Free or Fresh and some Fraying or Frills. I went with the fraying option and decided to fray my twine.

Thanks for Looking and I know I have a bit of an obsession with the MME Funday Range, but I can't help it :)

Finally Finished, and she's coming back....

Well I had the pleasure of doing a class with the Wonderful Trish Ladouceur at Fancy That late last year. It was a Prima class with LOTS and LOTS of layers. I took some pictures over Christmas/New Year and finally finished it off last night. The exciting thing is that Trisha is coming back and Fancy that are offering two of her classes. You can do the Prima class or one from Authentique. Well here is what I have done:

Then you lift the first layer....

And the second layer....

And here is a close up of the second layer.

I have framed it with one of the prima frames. Thanks for Looking and I am looking forward to Trisha's return.

And if you are looking for some more scrappy inspiration, the Paper Crafts Festival is on from Friday to Sunday at the RNA Showgrounds in Fortitude Valley. Fancy That are going to be there and I'm helping out on Friday. If you are there, pop by and say hello.

Fancy That February Class....

I have another class coming up at Fancy That so I thought I would stop by and give you a sneak peek.

We are going to be making a cool Water based LO and I'll be sharing an embossing technique and making some embellies. My class is on 28 Feb at 7pm and the page is currently on display in store.

Also, Renee is running an AMAZING Kit class on 21 Feb where you get four AWESOME designs.
Thanks for Looking.

Authentique Sketch Challenge

I think I am currently having a little bit of a love affair with Authentique Papers. So I decided to have a go at their sketch challenge this month.

Here is what I came up with.

I also used some of the New Scrapmatts Ferns on my page. And a couple of bits from Charms Creations.

Don't you love that reindeer. I just knew he had to go on this page with the picture of my boys.

Thanks for Looking. I just LOVED this sketch.

I am so Lucky - with a little bit of Whimsy

Yesterday I got to have a little bit of crafty time.... which continued on into the evening.

I decided to have a go at the sketch challenge currently on over at MLBOW. The sketch is by Kristine Davidson from Creative Scrappers. I had fun with it and here is what I came up with.

Here is a close up of the whimsy, which I have grouped with a Purple Pumpkin flower and a My2Angels Charm (which was so perfect fro this LO)

Going along with the Lucky theme of the LO, I had these AWESOME new 4 leaf clovers from Scrapmatts which I used on the LO.

Here is my title and journalling.

Well this I have to say is one of my FAVOURITE paper ranges at the moment. I totally LOVE Authentique. And speaking of.... Trisha Ladouceur is coming back to Aussie shores and is going to be teaching a Prima class and a Authentique class at Fancy That. I can't wait. For more details you check out the shop page.

Scrapmatts go Natural....

Our theme this month at Scrapmatts is Nature, so plants, bugs and insects. I have created my LO here with some of the new leaf sprays. My layout is based on a sketch done by Crece at Fancy That and is the current sketch challenge for Feb. I also used some of the ATC cards to create journalling boards.

Here is a close up of my spray.

And my title

Then I mad a card a couple of weeks back with some left overs. I added a butterfly and it just popped.

Then I am going to share a LO I created based on a sketch at Stuck!?.

Here I used one of the Scrapmatts flourishes.

I also had this AWESOME cherry button from Purple Pumpkin which just HAD to go on this LO of my son eating cherries.

Well, thanks or looking and I hope you get the time to check out the latest challenge over at scrapmatts and our sketch challenge at Fancy That. I'll be back in a little bit and share with you all a sneak from my next class.

It's all about LOVE at Scrapmatts

There is a fantastic challenge going on in February at Scrapmatts. It has been set by Cathy and as it is the month of love it is all about LOVE.

The challenge is to have the word Love on your project, a heart(s) and some paint. You also have to have some scrapmatts on your LO. I decided to not go down the traditional route and this is what I came up with:

Here is a close up of my heart:

Here is a close up of my title.

I got an i-top for my birthday and I had fun, making this Washi Tape Brad.

Thanks for Looking and I hope you can play along.
