Happy New Year and my final share for 2010

Well for my last post of 2010, I thought I would share with you something I made up for my Nanny for Christmas. I made up this picture stand (by 7Gypsies) but used some very cute My Minds Eye PP on it. Here is the creations:

It is called Forever Miss Jenni to us as she is getting married in the first half of next year but she will always be Miss Jenni to my boys. I filled it with pictures of her with the boys or the boys doing things with her and even some pictures she had posted to facebook with them.

I also added some of these cute Scrapware animals on the inside holding different charms and doing things with them.

Ebony and Ivory Challenge Heaven LO

Well when I first saw this challenge, I must admit, I dismissed it, but then I read it again later and it said you needed a "handmade flower". So I like making handmade flowers, but the other part was the challenging bit. Black or White with APRICOT!!! I could find a piece of cardstock I would define as apricot, but I could not find any PP. So with some black Making Memories glitter cardstock and my once piece of apricot cardstock, here is what I came up with.....

Here is my handmade flower, I have some little bits of Scrapmatts microchips and a Purple Pumpkin Button.

Challenge Heaven Theme Challenge

I made this last night for the Theme Challenge at Challenge Heaven. The theme is Grandparents and you need to have Kraft as the base.

Some quick last minute card

Last night my lovely hubby asked if we had any Christmas Cards. Although we did, do you think I could find them (I think they are in the Box room)!!!



So I whipped these up:

I made them using some Basic Grey Jovial and Bling It. I also used some great Scrapmatts chipboard star shapes and then a reindeer charm from My2Angels.

Purple.... hmmm... not my favouite...

Anthea over at Scrapbook Savvy put up a challenge to do a LO using Purple. Well although it is not usually my favourite colour, I did have these fabulous flower chipboard boarders from Scrapmatts that I thought I really wanted to use. So out came the purple. I based my LO on the Stuck Sketch and here is what I came up with....

Isn't that picture just adorable.... and it is becuase of the picutre that I came up with my title. If you loo closely the little boy has his hand on her leg and looks like he is giving it a squeeze. Yes, that is some Purple Pumpkin on there too.

So TOTALLY Stoked....

Well, it didn't arrive in the post and so after checking three newsagencies, I finally found a copy at the fourth newsagency I went to today. I got my hands on the Scrapbook Memories Masters Edition. It is just totally awesome, I love the work of the Masters, but I also was totally stoked to find two (Yippee) of my creations in the Honourable Mentions section. I still can't believe it.

I am also just thrilled to find my work alongside so many talented ladies. Some I have met and some I only know online, but it is just an honour to be mentioned alongside soo many wonderful people.

Anyway, here is my OTP which didn't get the cut for the HM list.

My Potato Face - Show us your Stuff

Last night I decided to have a go at the first challenge at Show us your stuff. They are having flowers as their theme this month, and so I decided to try and take a slightly different look at it. I had some great Scrapmatt chipboard stars and so used these, and then created a star flower and used some Purple Pumpkin handmade buttons, one for the centre of the flower and also on the page.

Back online and my Stuck?! Application

Well I finally got to unpack my scrapping supplies yesterday, not that everything has found a proper home yet, but at least it is out of the boxes.

Just before packing up I notice Stuck?! has put up a DT Call and as I love lots of the sketches there and they encourage you to put your own spin on it, so I have decided to give it a go. You have to do one of the December sketches so here is my take on the 1st of December sketch.

I have used some adorable Scrapmatts birds and some Purple Pumpkin button flowers.

I'm going AWOL.....

If you don't hear from me for a little bit this is why....

We are packing up and moving house. I've been packing in my spare time for the last couple of days and we actually move on Tuesday. Our internet will get turned off and not quite sure when it will get turned on again at the new one.

So I guess I will see you on the flip side.
