May sketch at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

The sketch this month is lots of fun at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge.  Here is the sketch.

I have rotated the sketch 180 degrees and here is what I came up with.....

I must say the Scrapmatts alpha banners are awesome and I just inked mine yellow to work with the LO.

A fun challenge at Cocoa Daisy....

I had the opportunity to play around with paper and glue on the weekend, and I got a couple of projects done, however, you will see some of them later.... but I did get one done I can share.  There was a challenge at Cocoa Daisy to do a LO inspired by one of the DT's LO's.  I found one I liked and used it like a sketch.

Here is what I created.  This is the first LO I have created using photo's from our shoot with Kerry from K&M Bergman Photography.

This was a fun and easy LO as I only did a little bit of sewing LOL...

Another Freaking Scappin Challenge for May

Another awesome inspiration challenge this month at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge is:

What did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor? A fireman? A nurse? An astronaut? A mommy??

For me, I always wanted to be a florist, so this is what I came up with.

Scrapmatts have this wonderful new grasses, which i have added some flowers to the top of to create my little flower garden.

And my title.

When I was growing up I wanted to be a florist.

Going OTP with Scrapmatts

We were given a bit of a colour challenge as a DT member of Scrapmatts this month.  I had already used the colours for my White with 1 colour for last month and so I decided to make an OTP with it.   I have used some of the chipboard circles and word clouds to create this dream catcher.

Then we were also given one of the new memory cabinets to create with and I chose to make mine look 'brushed metal' and put kitchen equipment inside it.  I love how it looks as a finished piece.

May White with 1....

White with 1 is lots of fun this month.  You use black and white with banners and flairs.  You can add colour in your banners and flairs so this is what I have done.  I created this fun layout about birthday's in our family.  My birthday is right between both of my boys and they are in the space of  4 days!  So here is a LO I have called Birthday Week.  I have included some layered chipboard Scrapmatts Banners and some day of the week flairs.

I also created these birthday gift boxes, where I have used some of the Scrapmatts boxes and added a chipboard bow.

This is such a fun challenge and banners are easy to make and there are so many great places you can find flairs now.  I hope you get the chance to play along.

A new kit to create with Cocoa Daisy....

I cracked open my April Cocoa Daisy Kit the other day and it is packed full of fun goodies.  I also decided to take on one of the challenges in the forum.  It was the "please to meet you" challenge, where you are to be inspired by someone else's work. I LOVED the way Denise used her templates and so I have taken that to inspire my LO.  Although I don't think I did her sense of fun justice, I did have fun playing with other embellishments   Here is my LO.

And as you can see, i can't help myself.  I had to add some Scrapmatts.  I am LOVING the new grasses at the moment.  They fit in with so many different LO's.

And I love the D-Lish Scrap Flairs....
